KPU Temporary Vote Count Sees Jokowi Lead Prabowo by 9 M Votes

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2019 vote count information system (Situng) by the General Elections Commission (KPU) today up to 08:00 recorded the eminence of incumbent Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin over opposition’s Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno.
The KPU website temporary vote count sees the incumbent collecting 42,877,773 votes while Prabowo gained 33,415,845 votes. This vote recapitulation is based on the 49.91 percent of total votes collected.
Meanwhile, pemilu2019.kpu.go.id calls the lead to Jokowi with 56.20 percent while Prabowo gaining 43.80 percent with a 9,461,928 vote gap (12.40 percent between both presidential candidates.

This temporary vote recapitulation is collected from 405,956 poll stations (TPS) out of a total of 813,350 TPS around Indonesia and those stationed abroad.
According to KPU Chairman Arief Budiman, the Sotung is the result of the vote counting conducted by the official polling station working committees (KPPS) based on official C1 forms for the presidential election from Indonesian cities and districts.
The KPU vote recapitulation is scheduled to be completed by May 22, 2019.
